Transit wheelchairs require someone to push the wheelchair, while the self propelled wheelchairs can be propelled by the user or pushed by a helper. Both fold up for easy storage in a car boot etc. Wheeled walkers can be three or 4 wheeled and are also foldable for easy storage in a car boot.

Electric powered wheelchair and Standard power chair.

The electric powered wheelchair is powered by a motor and battery pack suitable for indoor & outdoor use. Electric control is done by the wheelchair pusher who can also overide the motor for standard manual use. The Standard power chair is operated by the seated person using a joystick, very manoverable for indoor & outdoor use. Both these items have limited folding action and may not be suitable for a small car boot.
